The Juries

Jeremy Shaw -
Lloyd Northover

Educated in Preston when Polytechnic wasn’t a dirty word, I was taught by Ben Casey who introduced my twin brother Simon (who was on the same course) and I to ‘The Big Idea’, and we have been devotees ever since. I have worked at more design agencies than you can shake a stick at - I’ve been working for a quarter of a century and loved every minute. I am currently CD of Lloyd Northover (and in case you were wondering what ever happened to Simon he’s Associate CD of NavyBlue).

Generally the standard was high. Though the digital work was higher overall, there were some amazingly well thought through ideas brought to life by good crafting. The shortlist consisted of really good, strong work that most of us agreed on, and a good range of stuff. ‘1+1=3’ was beautifully crafted and worked well both on- and offline. It was not wholly original but the overall package was irresistable. The MTV string made us all smile; beautifully simple, with a great soundtrack.
