Jon Biggs -
Archibald Ingall Stretton…

Jon has been creating online since 1999, when interactive advertising was all about squeezing as many frames as possible into a 12k gif banner.

After a degree in Visual Communication, his first agency was Profero, where he developed his passion for rearranging pixels while working on COI and Ask Jeeves. Five years and several awards later, Jon left Profero for leading integrated agency archibald ingall stretton… to become Head of Design. He has been doing digital things for O2, EDF Energy and Skoda ever since.

By surrounding himself with a team of highly intelligent, talented and slightly scary individuals, he has managed to get his name on more awards from Cyber Lions, One Show, John Caples, New York Festivals, Campaign BIG, IAB Creative Showcase, Campaign Direct and the DMA.

Comments

The open brief enabled the students to push projects that they were personally interested in. Some didn’t push it far enough, some a little too far, but most took full advantage! Overall I was very impressed, especially with the high quality of production. Sometimes the ideas were left behind with the overall quality of work produced. We argued quite hard over some pieces, but got the right result: a nice balance of ‘serious’ design and frivolity. I think the two Firsts were the most complete pieces of work. They showed clever insight and excellent execution. Both pieces were top-drawer in all the judging criteria. The auction execution showed a very sophisticated level of insight, planning and production that most agencies would be very proud of.
