David Worthington -
Media Square
David worked at Conran Associates and Stewart McColl before establishing his own business, Worthington & Co, which he later sold to the Conran Design Group. He was Managing Director at Conran for 10 years before becoming Chairman of the Design Division of Media Square plc, where David’s current role is to lead the seven design companies in the Group’s portfolio, including international branding consultancy Lloyd Northover and packaging experts Holmes & Marchant.
A Graphic Designer and a passionate believer in the commercial and social benefits of the strategic use of design, he is a member of D&AD and a fellow of the CSD and RSA. David has extensive experience in the retail, banking and leisure sectors. He has consulted on retail and branding projects for companies such as Diesel, Nationwide, First Choice and P&G. He is a consultant curator to the London Transport Museum, where he art directed the Design Gallery in the newly refurbished museum. He is a Director of the London Transport Museum and Vice Chair of the Sector Skills Council for creative and cultural industries, CCSkills. His consultancy clients include IWM Duxford and the Parliamentary advisory group, Policy Connect.

It would be good if the brief encouraged more products and personal projects, i.e. more ideas for things such as furniture etc. Overall, the work entered was excellent, exciting and very difficult to judge! ‘St. Brides’ stood out for being such a truly impressive, all round achievement, and ‘1+1=3’ for its outstanding quality.
