Chris Riley -
Doodle Limited
After graduating from London College of Printing (now London College of Communication), Chris joined Identica as junior designer in 1994 to work with Michael Peters. During his time at Identica he worked across all the key disciplines of packaging, identity and retail design and rose to be Creative Director. Amongst the clients he served were; Chivas Regal, Flagman Vodka, Planters Peanuts, Nike and Wembley Stadium.
He has been awarded for his work and represented in Design Annuals at home and abroad. Chris left Identica in 2008 to found Doodle Limited, through which he works as a design consultant. Chris is a fellow of the RSA and a keen (if limited) amateur footballer.

I think the brief was a bit wide. Students need a tight brief that they can fight against rather than a big open-ended one that they can wallow about in and get lost. To be honest I thought more of them got lost than hit it in this category… there were good ideas and some good finishing but not really in the same piece of work. The piece that one the top award was brave. It was the most original piece. It was also one of the few that covered enough media to be integrated. It was however not finished to a level that I was one hundred per cent happy with – my fellow judges felt otherwise, but hey ho!
