A challenging brief with complexities that many students missed. The quality was impressive; clearly books (and films) still interest the young age group. There was a lot of good stuff but too many entries failed to grasp the details of brief, i.e. the options available in 'print on demand' production. Both the First and Second winners stand out as real live projects – I can imagine either on sale tomorrow. In particular, the First winner was a perfect solution, showing understanding of the brief, understanding of P-O-D (Print On Demand) and a demonstration of how P-O-D can lead to a specific, relevant design solution.
